FBC Blythe is a loving and welcoming congregation of believers who desire expository teaching of God’s Word about His truths. We are eagerly waiting for God’s revelation of His chosen person to be our next Lead Pastor. We are a church that loves the Bible and wants to learn from and grow in it. As our full-time Lead Pastor, you will serve as the primary leader of our church at every level, including the congregation, the Board of Elders and the staff. You will have the opportunity to wear many hats as the preacher, teacher, administrator, counselor and ministry supporter at FBC Blythe. Our ideal pastor is an approachable person who is experienced in their faith and can stand strong for God’s truths as expressed in His Word.
Our church is a multi-generational and diverse congregation that reflects our community. The sense of family is strong in our small church and visitors feel welcome to our services. We desire to reach out to the people of our rural town and bring more people to saving faith in Jesus Christ. Our congregation is hoping for a pastor who shares our heart for outreach to the people of our community and who has a desire to live in our small town along with a supportive family.
Job Objective: The Modern Worship Leader oversees worship service flow, song selection, musicians, and the overall performance for creating a well-organized, leading-edge worship experience that connects with our target audience. Collaborates and works cooperatively with other ministries across the church as the worship service will take place in a multi-usage area.
Primary Responsibilities:
a. Reports to the Minister of Music and Media, while leading the organization and planning of the contemporary worship service. Works in close connection to the Senior Pastor.
b. Recruits necessary musicians and singers for a quality worship experience and trains and maintains a cohesive worship team. One on-site worship practice is expected, and 3-4 hours on a Sunday morning for preparation, the worship service, storing equipment and securing the building.
c. Works with staff and volunteers to ensure that the audio, visual, and lighting are functional and enhancing to the worship service. d. Submits a budget to the Minister of Music and Media each year with items needed to sustain and improve the worship service.
e. Communicates proactively to the Minister of Music and Media if non-budgeted needs arise.
f. Promptly responds to church and job-related emails, text messages, and phone calls.
g. Understands the unique environment of ministering in a retirement community and is willing to craft a worship environment that is relevant to that target audience. See full job description here.

Job Overview:
Media Director position for the Second Baptist Church of Santa Ana (SBC). This full-time role supports and leads media ministry staff and volunteers to produce, record and archive weekly church services in-house and online for Sunday services, funerals, weddings, and special events. This leader will work closely with various ministries to coordinate and produce cohesive content that highlights and aligns with the mission and purpose of SBC to be published across various social media platforms. The Media Director will be eligible for medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits after 90 days of employment.
